Privacy Policy

DoseMate is operated by Applitude LLC (“Applitude,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the DoseMate mobile app and trydosemate.com (together, the “Service”).

By using DoseMate, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Account information.Your name, email address, and the account identifier provided when you sign in with Apple or Google. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only receive Apple’s private relay address.

Health and body data. Height, weight, age, sex, goal weight, activity level, and the body measurements you enter during onboarding or update later.

Medication data. The GLP-1 medication you take, your dose, your schedule, the dates you log injections, and the injection sites you use.

Symptom and check-in data. Side effects you log, plus daily entries for energy, mood, appetite, sleep quality, side-effect severity, water intake, and any notes you write.

Nutrition data. Meals you log and their nutrition values, including photos of food you choose to capture or upload.

Photos. Progress photos and meal photos you choose to add from your camera or photo library.

Apple Health data. Only the data types you explicitly authorize — see the Apple Health section below.

Device and usage data. Device model, operating system version, app version, language, a device identifier, and in-app events such as screens viewed and features used. We use this to understand how the app is used and to fix problems.

Purchase data. Subscription status, trial status, and transaction events. Apple processes your payment; we never receive or store your card number.

We use your information to provide the Service — tracking your doses, estimating your medication levels, calculating nutrition goals, and surfacing insights from your logs.

We also use it to sync your data across your devices and restore it when you sign in again; to send dose reminders and other notifications you have enabled; to manage your subscription, trial, and access to paid features; to diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance; to measure how our marketing performs and communicate with you about the Service; and to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your health data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process your information on these bases: to perform our contract with you (providing the Service); with your consent (health data, Apple Health access, notifications, tracking); for our legitimate interests (security, analytics, improving the app); and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time — see Your Rights and Choices below.

DoseMate can read weight, steps, active energy, heart rate, walking and running distance, and exercise minutes from Apple Health, and can write weight back to it. We only access the data types you explicitly authorize, and you can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app under Sharing → Apps.

Health data read from Apple Health is never used for advertising or marketing, is never shared with data brokers, and is never sold. We do not disclose it to third parties without your explicit permission, except as required by law.

We request camera and photo library access so you can take progress photos and capture meals for nutrition analysis. Access is used only when you actively use those features. Progress photos are stored in your private account storage and are visible only to you. You can delete any photo from the app at any time.

When you photograph a meal, the image is sent to Google's Gemini model through Firebase AI Logic to estimate its nutrition content. The image is processed to return that estimate and is not used to train the model. No account details are attached to the request beyond what is required to authenticate the app itself.

AI-generated nutrition estimates are approximations and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them for clinical or dietary decisions that require precision.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to run the Service: Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, push notifications, app security, and AI nutrition analysis); Mixpanel (product analytics); Superwall (subscription paywalls and entitlement management); Appstack (marketing attribution and purchase events); and Apple (sign-in, Apple Health, and subscription billing).

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect the rights or safety of our users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

On first launch, iOS may ask for your permission to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you decline, we do not use your device's advertising identifier, and the app continues to work exactly the same. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

We never use health, medication, symptom, or Apple Health data for advertising.

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access to production systems is restricted, and app requests are attested so only genuine copies of DoseMate can reach our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data from our production systems, except where we must retain records to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

You can access and update your profile, medication, and logged data directly in the app at any time.

You can permanently delete your account and its data from Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — cancel that separately in your Apple ID settings.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to processing, or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We do not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email us at team@applitudeapps.com.

You can turn off notifications in iOS Settings, revoke Apple Health access in the Health app, and revoke camera or photo access in iOS Settings at any time.

DoseMate is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, email team@applitudeapps.com and we will delete it.

We operate in the United States, and your information is processed and stored there and in other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws of your country. By using DoseMate, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the new policy in the app and at trydosemate.com/privacy. If the changes are material, we will give you notice before they take effect. Continuing to use DoseMate after a change means you accept the updated policy.
