Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These terms govern your use of the DoseMate app. Please read them carefully — section 3 in particular explains what DoseMate is and is not.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Applitude LLC (“Applitude,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the operator of the DoseMate mobile app and trydosemate.com (together, the “Service”).

By downloading, accessing, or using DoseMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use DoseMate. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and that you are legally able to enter into these Terms.

3. Medical Disclaimer

DoseMate is a tracking and education tool. It is not a medical device and it does not provide medical advice.

DoseMate does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and nothing in the app is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician, pharmacist, or other qualified health provider with any question you have about a medical condition or your medication. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in DoseMate.

Estimated medication levels are illustrative only. The medication level curve is modeled from published pharmacokinetic averages for your medication and dose. Real absorption and metabolism vary from person to person, so the curve will differ from your actual blood concentration. It must never be used to decide whether to take, skip, delay, or change a dose. Follow your prescriber’s instructions.

Nutrition estimates are approximations. AI-generated nutrition values, calculated calorie and macro goals, and any insights derived from your logs are estimates and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them where precision matters medically.

If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number immediately.

4. Your Account

You need an account to use most of DoseMate. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. Notify us at team@applitudeapps.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

DoseMate is free to download. Access to all features requires a paid subscription.

Subscriptions are sold through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Deleting your DoseMate account does not cancel your subscription — you must cancel it separately in your Apple ID settings.

All purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are issued at Apple's discretion; we cannot issue them on Apple's behalf. Prices may change, and we will give notice before a change affects your renewal.

Your use of the licensed application is also governed by Apple’s standard End User License Agreement.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app; interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; access the Service through automated means or scrape its data; resell or commercially redistribute the Service; or use the Service to provide medical advice to others.

7. Your Content

You keep ownership of the data, photos, and notes you add to DoseMate. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you — for example, syncing it across your devices, generating your charts and insights, and analyzing meal photos for nutrition estimates. We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not sell it. You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to upload it.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, design, and functionality are owned by Applitude LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. “DoseMate” and the DoseMate logo are marks of Applitude LLC. Medication brand names referenced in the app are trademarks of their respective owners; DoseMate is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Third-Party Services

DoseMate relies on third-party services including Apple, Google Firebase, Mixpanel, Superwall, and Appstack. Your use of those services through DoseMate may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

10. Privacy

Your use of DoseMate is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we handle it. Please review it to understand our practices.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any estimate, reminder, or insight it produces will be accurate or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Applitude LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service — including any health outcome, missed dose, or decision made in reliance on information shown in the app.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Termination

You can stop using DoseMate at any time and delete your account from Profile → Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution — will survive.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised Terms in the app and at trydosemate.com/terms. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the revised Terms.

15. Apple

These Terms are between you and Applitude LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it, and is not responsible for addressing any claim you have relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
